For the first time Grupo Moçfer S.A was present at the Facim fair 2009, together with its two subsidiary companies in Mozambique namely: Mia- Moçfer Indústrias Alimentares S.A. based at Chókwè, Gaza Province and Companhia do Vandúzi S.A., Vandúzi, Manica Province. Grupo Moçfer S.A part of the Cepagri stand in Facim.
The main objectives of Grupo Moçfer was to divulge its commercial objectives in Mozambique, the different products that both Mia and Companhia de Vandúzi produce and offer the various markets in which they operate in.
During 2008, Companhia de Vandúzi S.A. was one of companies with largest export growth in Mozambique of perishable products. Therefore, on August 31st 2009, opening day of FACiM 2009, Companhia de Vandúzi was awarded with a prize by IPEX (Instituto para a Promoção das Exportações) Mozambique´s Institute for the promotion of all exported goods.

MIA (Moçfer Industrias Alimentares, SA) has been given the privilige ofusing the Made in Mozambique logo on all product lines and marketing materials.
The ceremony was held on September 17th, at MIA´s headquarters in Chókwè.
By having the logo made in Mozambique, MIA is now officially part of the group of companies that produces and promotes all that is Made in Mozambique.
It is with great pride that MIA receives this logo, as it is one of MIA´s differentiating factors. MIA wants to be identified as the grower and supplier of high quality, 100% Mozambican grown rice.
The successes of organizations doesn´t depend solely of the company´s structure, but also of the motivation and team spirit that prevails amongst its members.
This is what I found at Mozfoods S.A., a company that is made up of people from all corners of the globe, driven by enthusiasm and geared towards providing excellence in its customer service.

I initially started at Mozfoods S.A. as finance assistant. Not long after I was promoted to Finance Director. I have to recognize the immense support and trust that I have always felt from the Company´s shareholders.
I am very proud of working at Mozfoods. Mozfoods S.A. has as the objective of developing sustainable businesses, whilst contributing towards economic and social development of the country, reinvesting its profits in our country. MIA has been in the Chókwè region since 2005, investing all its efforts in the rehabilitation of an old processing rice factory (ORLI), and currently holds 5 silos with an individual capacity of 2,000t, with the projected installation of a further 5 silos until April 2010. This added capacity will allow for a total of 20,000t of rice.
Companhia do Vandúzi S.A. was created in 2004 with the objective of exploring the potential of horticultural production in Manica province.
Companhia do Vandúzi has been growing throughout the years, investing in the expansion of its horticultural areas and also expanding its markets, with the objective of creating economic value for the province and the country, with a turnover of 6 Million USD in the previous fiscal year.
